Bitrix24 data migration

Moving Bitrix24 from the cloud to on-premise without stopping work

We move your CRM, tasks, users and files to your server in Kazakhstan. First to a test portal: you check it, we reconcile the record counts. Then we load the latest changes and switch over on an agreed day. Until then your staff keep working in the cloud.

Who it suits

Moving isn’t right for everyone — we’ll be honest

On-premise gives you control over data and code, but adds a server, updates and an annual licence. Before estimating the move, we check why you need it.

✓Moving makes sense if

  • Your data must be stored on your own server. Your security team, an audit or work with customers’ personal data requires it.
  • You need customisations that aren’t available in the cloud. Your own modules, changes to the logic of record cards and business processes, direct access to the database and files.
  • Integrations must run inside your network. 1C, accounting and warehouse systems, your own PBX — data exchange without going out to the internet.
  • Your company has 250 employees or more. At this scale an on-premise licence over three years is noticeably cheaper than the cloud — see the calculation below.

✕Better to stay in the cloud if

  • Your main goal is to save money and you have up to 100 employees. The on-premise licence is now annual, and with 50–100 users there is almost no saving.
  • Nobody can look after the server. In the on-premise version, updates, backups and security are the company’s responsibility. You can hand this over to us under an administration contract.
  • Your portal relies on Marketplace apps. On-premise they have to be installed again, and some apps work only in the cloud.
  • You need everything exactly as it is in the cloud. Some cloud services work differently on-premise — we’ll check against your portal.

Costs

Cloud or on-premise: licences over three years

Calculated at the vendor’s prices in Kazakhstan as of September 2026. Cloud: paid annually. On-premise: the first year plus two renewals at the discounted price. The server and on-premise administration are not included.

  • Cloud: prices with annual payment (bitrix24.kz). On-premise: the licence price and a discounted renewal at 30% of its cost (1c-bitrix.kz).
  • An on-premise licence is valid for 12 months. If it isn’t renewed, access to the portal is closed. The discounted renewal is bought 90 days before expiry or within 15 days after.
  • Prices exclude VAT; 16% VAT is added. The vendor may change prices — we’ll recalculate on the purchase date.

What gets migrated

What moves, what we rebuild and what stays in the cloud

Through the API the cloud hands over data, but not all settings. So we split the portal into three parts in advance, and you know what to expect before signing the contract.

Migrated as data

  • users and company structure;
  • leads, deals, contacts, companies and smart processes — with their fields and stages;
  • tasks, projects and workgroups;
  • lists and directories;
  • Drive files and documents.

We reconcile by counts: how many records were in the cloud and how many are now on-premise.

Rebuilt from scratch

  • automation rules, triggers and business processes;
  • access permissions and roles;
  • telephony, email, Open Channels and CRM forms;
  • Marketplace apps and integration webhooks.

We run a test deal through every automation before switchover.

Not migrated

  • employee passwords — everyone sets a new one at first login;
  • the change history of deals and tasks — we migrate the current state;
  • the user activity log;
  • cloud services that don’t exist on-premise.

The full list for your portal is in the migration map.

How the move works

Two stages: a pilot first, then the switchover

The cloud serves data via the API with rate limits, so a large portal takes weeks to migrate. Work doesn’t stop meanwhile: we migrate in the background and switch over once everything has been checked.

Migration plan by stage: migration map, server and licence, pilot migration, acceptance, final sync and switchover, working on-premise; the cloud portal keeps running until switchover day
Scroll the diagram sideways →

1We don’t touch the cloud

We only read data via the API. Nothing is deleted or changed in the cloud, and staff work as usual.

2Pilot

The first migration goes to a test on-premise portal. You check your deals, tasks and files, and we fix whatever you flag.

3Reconciliation

After the pilot you get a report: how many deals, contacts, tasks and files are in the cloud and on-premise. We resolve any discrepancies before switchover.

4Switchover

On the agreed day we migrate everything added to the cloud after the pilot, and staff log in to the on-premise portal.

Pricing

How much the move costs

The price depends on the size of the portal: how much data, files, automations and integrations it has. After the migration map we give an estimate in hours and a timeline — before any work starts.

Planned work

20 000 ₸ / hour

A move to plan: map, server, pilot, acceptance, final sync and switchover.

Discuss the move

Urgent work

30 000 ₸ / hour

When you need to switch over by a set date: your paid cloud period is ending or an audit requires it.

It’s urgent

What’s included

  • a migration map: what moves, what we rebuild, what isn’t migrated;
  • server preparation: BitrixVM, email, SSL, backups;
  • a pilot migration and a reconciliation report;
  • setting up automations, permissions and communication channels;
  • final sync and switchover on the agreed day.

Paid separately

  • the Bitrix24 On-Premise licence — at the vendor’s price;
  • the server — an ONEHOST VPS in Kazakhstan or your own;
  • paid Marketplace apps — at the developers’ prices;
  • administration after the move — under contract.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why can’t we simply export an archive from the cloud?

Since 1 September 2023, 1C-Bitrix no longer provides backups of cloud portals for installation on-premise. So we migrate via the cloud API: each entity separately and with checks.

How long does the move take?

It depends on the volume. A small portal takes a few days, a large one a few weeks: the cloud serves data via the API with rate limits. We give the exact timeline after the migration map.

Will there be downtime?

While the migration is running, staff work in the cloud. A pause is needed only for the final sync on switchover day — we schedule it for an evening or a weekend.

What happens to employee passwords?

Passwords are not migrated from the cloud. We create the accounts in advance, and each employee sets a new password at first login.

Which licence do I need for on-premise?

Corporate Portal for 50, 100, 250 or 500 users; for 1 000 users or more, Enterprise. The licence is valid for 12 months; renewal at the discounted price is 30% of its cost. We’ll choose the right one for your headcount.

Where will the portal run?

On a ONEHOST VPS in Kazakhstan or on your own server — we’ll give the requirements after the migration map. The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Personal Data and Their Protection” requires personal data to be stored in a database located in Kazakhstan, and with on-premise you know exactly where the server is.

What happens to telephony, email and messengers?

We reconnect the channels on-premise: telephony, mailboxes, Open Channels and CRM forms. We check them with a test call, email and message.
