Search engine optimisation (SEO)

Website SEO that brings enquiries from search, not ranking reports

SEO promotion for websites in Almaty, Astana and across Kazakhstan — in Google and Yandex: an audit, technical foundations handled by our own developers, keyword research based on real demand, content, links and a clear report every month. We work with 1C-Bitrix, Astro, WordPress and custom-built sites.

Typical situations

When SEO is the right choice

Not every business needs SEO, and not at every stage. Here are the four situations clients most often bring to us, and what delivers results in each.

New site, no search traffic

Launch

The site is live but invisible in search: three to five pages are indexed, and competitors show up for “buy … in Almaty” queries. Ads only work while you keep paying.

  • indexing, section structure, sitemap;
  • keywords based on real demand, not “nice-sounding” queries;
  • the first landing pages and copy that answers the buyer’s question.

What you get: first rankings for long-tail queries in two to three months, and traffic you don’t pay for per click.

Online store: categories don’t rank

E-commerce

Thousands of products, yet traffic comes only from searches for the company name. Categories have no copy, every title follows one template, filters spawn duplicates, and product pages don’t expose price and stock to search engines.

  • SEO structure for the catalogue: categories, subcategories, filter pages — how to structure a catalogue in 1C and on the website;
  • title and description templates for thousands of pages at once;
  • Product and Offer markup so that price and availability show in search results.

For: 1C-Bitrix stores with a catalogue from 1C. We know the platform inside out — we fix templates and components ourselves rather than writing wish lists.

Moved or rebuilt the site — rankings dropped

Migration

New design, new URLs: old pages return 404, there are no redirects, the sitemap is out of date. That is how years of results are lost in a week.

  • an “old URL → new URL” redirect map for every page;
  • carrying over copy and meta tags;
  • monitoring indexing in the first weeks after the move.

Fact: when onelab.kz moved from 1C-Bitrix to Astro, we carried over all 402 URLs with redirects.

Traffic, but no enquiries

Conversion

Visitors come and go: a slow mobile version, the form buried in the footer, no prices or stock. SEO without enquiries is an expense, not an investment.

  • speed and Core Web Vitals on mobile;
  • landing pages matched to search intent, not pages “about everything”;
  • analytics goals and deals in Bitrix24 with the source attached — we count customers, not visits.

Fact: wint.kz — mobile PageSpeed score 45 → 91–95, LCP 10.7 → 1.8 s after our optimisation.

Scope of the service

What website SEO and promotion consist of

Six workstreams that run in parallel. Drop any one and the rest work worse: links to a slow site, copy without keyword research, or keywords without landing pages bring no growth.

Technical foundations

Indexing, speed, mobile version, duplicates, 404 errors, redirects, sitemap, robots.txt. We fix errors in the site code ourselves instead of handing a spec to your contractor.

Fact: the standard sitemap in the oneit.kz store hadn’t been updated since November 2025 — we wrote our own generator for 16,282 products and removed a crawl restriction that was holding Yandex back.

Keywords and structure

We collect queries based on real demand, cluster them by meaning and map them to landing pages. If there is no page for the demand, we design one rather than stuffing keywords into the footer.

In the plans: 10, 20 or 50 landing pages and up to 50–150 tracked queries; more in a custom plan.

On-page optimisation

Title, description and H1 — templated for the catalogue and hand-written for key pages; clean URLs, internal linking, Organization, Product, FAQ and BreadcrumbList markup.

Fact: on onelab.kz we rewrote the title and description of 402 pages; pages without an H1 went from 46 to 0.

Content

Category and service copy that people read, not just robots; blog articles for informational queries; checks for originality and usefulness. We don’t write volume for volume’s sake.

In the plans: 1, 3 or 5 articles a month, 2,000–3,000 characters each, for the blog or news.

Links and local SEO

Mostly Kazakhstan platforms and directories, industry media, partners — only after on-page optimisation and never through exchanges selling junk links. Listings in 2GIS, Google Business Profile and Yandex Maps, branch pages by city.

How we charge: the placement budget is agreed separately and shown in the monthly report for each platform.

Analytics and reports

Search Console, GA4, Yandex Metrica and Yandex Webmaster, rankings by city. We track goals all the way to the enquiry and the deal in Bitrix24 to count customers, not visits.

Format: a work report every month; statistics, conclusions and recommendations every quarter.

How promotion works

The first three months: from audit to growth

The order is strict: technical foundations and keyword research first, then content and links. Links to a site full of duplicates with a slow mobile version are money down the drain, so we don’t buy them too early.

1We fix it ourselves

Our team includes 1C-Bitrix, PHP and Astro developers. Redirects, markup, speed and filter duplicates get fixed in days instead of waiting for months in your programmer’s queue.

2Every city in Kazakhstan

Demand and competition differ between Almaty, Astana and Shymkent. We track rankings in every city and region where you operate and build landing pages for local demand. Need a Kazakh version of the site? We will build it with hreflang.

3White-hat methods only

No faked behavioural signals and no link exchanges. We improve user behaviour through usability: speed, clear product pages, answers to questions. Results like these survive algorithm updates.

4Visibility in AI answers

Google and Yandex increasingly answer queries themselves — AI Overviews and Alice AI — with links to sources. We structure facts, FAQs and markup so that the site gets cited, and check whether it appears in AI answers for key queries.

Our work

What we have already fixed in search

Technical SEO is proven by numbers, not promises. A few tasks from recent months: our own sites, client stores and our hosting fleet.

How we work

From audit to report

The first month is the busiest: the audit, agreeing on goals and the technical foundations. After that, a steady rhythm: planned work, a report and adjustments every month.

01

Audit and plan 1–2 weeks

The technical side, content, backlink profile, demand and competitors in your niche. The output is a list of issues ranked by importance and a three-month work plan with the expected impact. The initial review is done before the contract.

02

Goals and contract 2–3 days

We agree on what counts as a result: the query list, regions, landing pages, analytics goals. The contract describes the work in the plan and what is charged separately.

03

Technical foundations 2–4 weeks

Redirects, duplicates, sitemap, robots.txt, speed and Core Web Vitals, mobile version, markup. We set up Search Console, Yandex Webmaster, GA4 and Yandex Metrica with goals through to the enquiry. We make the fixes in the site code ourselves.

04

Keywords and landing pages first month

Keyword research with competitors in mind, mapping queries to pages, title, description and H1, copy for landing pages. New pages for demand that has no page yet.

05

Content and links every month

Articles per the plan, category copy, answers to buyers’ questions. After on-page optimisation — platforms, directories, media and Google Business Profile. Usability work: speed, product pages, forms.

06

Report and adjustment every month

What was done, rankings, traffic, enquiries and the plan for next month. Once a quarter — statistics, conclusions and a strategy review: which areas drove growth, what to strengthen, what to drop.

What the plan includes

  • audit and work plan, monthly and quarterly reports;
  • technical optimisation with fixes in the site code;
  • keyword research, landing pages, meta tags, markup;
  • articles per the plan and content originality checks;
  • choosing platforms and placing links;
  • setting up analytics and goals, rank tracking;
  • a dedicated manager and a team: SEO, content, developer, analyst.

Charged separately

  • the budget for paid placements and links — by agreement;
  • copy beyond the plan: articles, product descriptions;
  • site improvements beyond technical optimisation: new sections, landing pages, integrations — billed as maintenance hours;
  • PPC advertising and targeting;
  • photos, video and design for new pages;
  • a new website, if the old one can’t be optimised.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When will we see results?

The first movement on long-tail queries comes four to eight weeks after the technical foundations and landing pages are in place. Steady traffic growth takes three to six months, longer in competitive niches. That is why the minimum term is three months: there is nothing to assess before then.

Do you guarantee rankings?

No, and no honest contractor does: search results are controlled by Google and Yandex, not by a contractor. We guarantee the scope and quality of work in the plan, a transparent report, and traffic and enquiry targets that we review every quarter. If there is no progress after three months, we analyse the reasons and change the plan.

Google or Yandex: which matters more in Kazakhstan?

Both. According to StatCounter data for 2026, about 70% of search referrals in Kazakhstan come from Google and almost 30% from Yandex, with Yandex’s share higher on desktop. So we work with both search engines: we track rankings in Google and Yandex and set up Search Console and Yandex Webmaster for every site.

Our site isn’t on 1C-Bitrix. Will you take it on?

Yes: WordPress, OpenCart, custom-built sites, static sites on Astro. The main condition is access to the code and hosting so that we can fix technical errors ourselves. On site builders such as Tilda and Wix, the platform limits what can be done — we will tell you about this during the audit.

Is buying links safe?

It is safe if the links come from relevant platforms, directories, media and partners rather than link exchanges and networks of throwaway sites. We place links only after on-page optimisation, agree the budget and show it in the report for each platform. We don’t do artificial boosting.

SEO or PPC advertising?

Ads bring clicks straight away and stop when the budget runs out; SEO accumulates and keeps working after you stop paying. The two are usually combined: ads at launch and for “hot” queries, SEO for the long run. We do SEO and will advise on how to combine the two and what to measure.

What about AI search: AI Overviews, Alice AI, ChatGPT?

Users now get some answers right on the results page: AI-generated overviews in Google (AI Overviews) and Alice AI answers in Yandex. This doesn’t cancel SEO — it changes it. AI answers cite sources, and the same things help you get cited: clear structure, facts about the company, FAQs, structured data, authority. We check whether your site is cited in AI answers for key queries.

Site review

Send us your site address — we’ll send back a review

The initial review is free and comes before any contract: indexing, technical foundations, speed, visibility for 10–20 key queries in your region. We will show the main problems and what fixing them will deliver.

  • We reply within a business day; the review takes two or three days.
  • We will suggest a plan to fit your site type and regions.
  • Access to Search Console and Yandex Metrica will be needed later — your site address is enough to start.
  • We work under a contract with a Kazakhstan LLP, payment by invoice, offices in Almaty and Astana.
